INITIAL
BASIC TRAINING FOR BAIL AND SURETY RECOVERY AGENTS
[IBT]
This course satisfies the
Missouri Department of Insurance 24 hour initial training requirement
for all new bail bond, general bail bond and surety recovery agents and
consists of three days of class room style teaching. Classes
begin at 8 am each morning and continue till 5 pm with a lunch break
from noon till 1 pm. Students will need to bring a notebook and a
pen or pencil and dress comfortably.
FIREARMS SAFETY AND CONCEALED CARRY [FS&CCW]
This course is for the Bail Bond or Surety Recovery Agent who is
needing to satisfy the biennial continuing education requirement and is
designed to acquaint the student with the basics of handgun safety
during all phases of loading, carrying, shooting, cleaning and storing
the firearm. Laws concerning concealed carry, lawful use and liability
will be addressed. To successfully complete the class student will be
required to demonstrate these techniques at the firing range. This
class is an 8 hour class and satisfies the requirements for the
Department of Insurance bail bond and surety recovery agent continuing
education and the State of Missouri requirements for licensing to carry
concealed firearms. Student will be required to supply 100 rounds of
ammunition and personal firearm.
HISTORY AND LAWS OF BAIL BONDING [H&LBB]
This course teaches the history and development of bail bonding as we know
it today, the Missouri laws governing the bail bond industry and Land mark
U.S.
Supreme court and Missouri Appellate court decisions relating to bail
bonding and fugitive recovery. This class is an 8 hour class and satisfies
the requirements for the Department of Insurance bail bond and surety
recovery agent continuing education.
BASIC BOND WRITING [BBW]
This course will familiarize the student with recent changes in Missouri
bail bond law, sound bond writing practices, record keeping and reporting,
collateralization, FTA notification procedures, and courtroom etiquite and
procedures. This class is an 8 hour class and satisfies the requirements
for the Department of Insurance bail bond and surety recovery agent
continuing education.
BASIC SURETY RECOVERY [BFR]
This course addresses the recent changes in Missouri law concerning
fugitive recovery and discusses techniques and principles of skip tracing,
interviews, arrest and transportation of the fugitive. Issues concerning
the safety of both the agent and the fugitive, minimum basic equipment,
optional equipment pros and cons will be addressed. This class is an 8
hour class and satisfies the requirements for the Department of Insurance
bail bond and surety recovery agent continuing education.
